MOBE Training –When starting your Home Business, there can be a lot to learn….Most people who start with our team have never done anything like this before. In fact most have never even had their own blog or website (I know I hadn’t).
But always remember that at the end of the day, there are really only two activities that are going to make you money in this business…well actually there’s one, but in order to have one you need the other. Let’s look at these now.
1.) Calling Potential Business Partners
This is where you call back those who have requested more information about your income opportunity. Now there are ways of doing this, and ways not to.
The key is to always keep your focus on helping the other person. Forget about making a sale, or about ‘closing.’ People can see right through that, and will think that you don’t care about them….in which case they’ll never buy from you.
Remember, these people are searching for an alternative to their current lifestyle.
- Maybe they’re stuck in a dead end job, and have to work way too hard for the money they’re paid
- Maybe they don’t get to spend much time at home, and are missing their family
- Maybe they’re retired, and due to the current economic crisis their savings have taken a hit- they now need to go back to work, but don’t want the commitment of a full time JOB.
The point is, you never know where the person on the other end of the phone is coming from….so that should be you focus when talking with them.
It’s all about asking the right questions, and getting that person to open up, so you can see whether the opportunity you offer might be a solution to their problems.
Doing call backs is what this business is all about….you can’t succeed without them. So make this part of your day a central focus. The more people you connect with, the more likely you are to succeed, and the more money you’ll make. It’s as simple as that.
But before you can even think about calling people, you need people to call. And this is where the second key profit driver comes into play…
2.) Marketing Your Home Business
I’m convinced that the biggest cause of failure in this industry is an inability to market properly. And I completely empathize with people who find this part of the business to be challenging in the beginning…god knows I did.
I remember when I first got started- I was relying on Google Adwords for my advertising, and I didn’t have the slightest clue what I was doing. There were days when I would spend up to $20 and get just 1 lousy lead…it was frustrating.
To make matters worse, I didn’t have a mentor to teach me how to do it the right way, since she left the business shortly after I joined.
But I was determined to succeed, so I invested heavily in my marketing education, and slowly but surely I started getting results. At the time of writing, I’ve got my cost per lead somewhere down to $1 per lead, so it’s a big improvement from $20.
As a member of Home Business Builders, you’ll learn how to market the right way, without blowing out your budget. Everything I know is contained in the Training Centre, and we are constantly improving it. But it will take time to learn- don’t expect to master it in your first week. Just keep at it, and you’ll eventually get to the point where you have more leads than you can handle.
